Insects and what to do when they're on your plants!
Common plant pests:
- Aphids
- Scale
- Mealybug
- Caterpillars
- Grasshoppers
- Gnats
- Mites
Natural/Organic pest removal method:
1. Wipe bugs off leaves with a wet cloth.
2. Spray with an organic insecticide such as Neem Oil.
3. Cut back any dead or unwanted branches to increase airflow.
4. Keep an eye on bug infestation over the next few weeks.
5. Repeat above as necessary.
Remember:
Not all bugs are bad. It’s okay to have some insects on your plants.
In the garden a lot of bugs have natural predators. They’re often called beneficial or predatory insects; these bugs feed on the other bugs that eat the plants.
